About Me

My photo
Chicago, Illinois, United States
Hello there future red birds and bloggers! My name is Daisy Vela. I am a freshman student at Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois. So far my first year at ISU has been an amazing experience. Although I am not a professional photographer, I love taking pictures. This blog is to entertain, inform and persuade those students considering ISU as their university. As an incoming freshman myself I experience the opportunity to attend a program called First Look. It was a two day program for all accepted students who will potentially attend ISU. The program impacted me greatly and that is part of the reason I decided to attend ISU. This year I have the opportunity to volunteer as a First Look guide. Volunteering in this program is a very challenging because I have to persuade students to choose ISU and to make their experience unforgettable. Also, while walking to my classes I see various tour guide giving tours to incoming freshman. Those reasons inspired me to do a campus photo blog. Hopefully I can persuade many of you to become a REDBIRD!

Wilkins Tower

Wilkins Tower
One of the three buildings located west in campus. They are the farthest residence hall from campus. It takes about a good 8-10 minute walk from Tri-towers to campus. As well as watterson, tri-towers has an amazing view from the top of the building. Outside tri-towers there is a sand volleyball court. Many students enjoy themselves playing volleyball with their friends during the fall semester. Tri-towers is the closest residence hall to the redbird arena, that would explain why most athletes live in tri-towers.
