Hello there future red birds and bloggers! My name is Daisy Vela. I am a freshman student at Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois. So far my first year at ISU has been an amazing experience. Although I am not a professional photographer, I love taking pictures. This blog is to entertain, inform and persuade those students considering ISU as their university. As an incoming freshman myself I experience the opportunity to attend a program called First Look. It was a two day program for all accepted students who will potentially attend ISU. The program impacted me greatly and that is part of the reason I decided to attend ISU. This year I have the opportunity to volunteer as a First Look guide. Volunteering in this program is a very challenging because I have to persuade students to choose ISU and to make their experience unforgettable. Also, while walking to my classes I see various tour guide giving tours to incoming freshman. Those reasons inspired me to do a campus photo blog. Hopefully I can persuade many of you to become a REDBIRD!

Campus Shuttle Bus

The campus shuttle bus is totally free. It takes you around the whole campus. It goes around to the bone student center, Watterson Towers, Tri-towers, Parking services, Student alumni center, etc. Not only is the shuttle bus free but other bus transportation is free, just show your redbird ID card to the bus driver.
