Hello there future red birds and bloggers! My name is Daisy Vela. I am a freshman student at Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois. So far my first year at ISU has been an amazing experience. Although I am not a professional photographer, I love taking pictures. This blog is to entertain, inform and persuade those students considering ISU as their university. As an incoming freshman myself I experience the opportunity to attend a program called First Look. It was a two day program for all accepted students who will potentially attend ISU. The program impacted me greatly and that is part of the reason I decided to attend ISU. This year I have the opportunity to volunteer as a First Look guide. Volunteering in this program is a very challenging because I have to persuade students to choose ISU and to make their experience unforgettable. Also, while walking to my classes I see various tour guide giving tours to incoming freshman. Those reasons inspired me to do a campus photo blog. Hopefully I can persuade many of you to become a REDBIRD!

Bone Student Center (BSC)


STATE your passion at illinois state university! The bone students center has a variety of places inside. BSC has great places to study. The atrium lounge being one of them. Sometimes the library just gets too full and the atrium lounge is always relaxing and a soothing place to study. Burger King, McAllisters, Pizza Hut, Barnes and Nobles bookstore, redbird card office, TechZone, Lobby shop, and many more interesting places are located at the BSC.
