Hello there future red birds and bloggers! My name is Daisy Vela. I am a freshman student at Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois. So far my first year at ISU has been an amazing experience. Although I am not a professional photographer, I love taking pictures. This blog is to entertain, inform and persuade those students considering ISU as their university. As an incoming freshman myself I experience the opportunity to attend a program called First Look. It was a two day program for all accepted students who will potentially attend ISU. The program impacted me greatly and that is part of the reason I decided to attend ISU. This year I have the opportunity to volunteer as a First Look guide. Volunteering in this program is a very challenging because I have to persuade students to choose ISU and to make their experience unforgettable. Also, while walking to my classes I see various tour guide giving tours to incoming freshman. Those reasons inspired me to do a campus photo blog. Hopefully I can persuade many of you to become a REDBIRD!

Watterson Towers

Wattterson Towers one of the ten residence halls located on campus. Well actually, Watterson contains two residence halls, the north tower and the south tower. Watterson provides a dining center, fitness center, subway, laundry machines and vending machines. The laundry machines are located in the top floor, also called "T". There is an amazing view from T, specially when its sunrise or sunset. You can see the whole campus from the above.
